The Call to Action
Whether we like it or not, we are and will continue to be confronted by challenges unknown to generations past. We have reached a pinnacle of human development defined in no small measure by the economic, social, and environmental problems that our pursuit of progress has spawned; realities that historically have been marginalized or neglected. We can no longer afford to ignore them.
However, the sheer magnitude and scope of these challenges can seem so daunting and overwhelming that it is easy to believe it is beyond our reach to address any one of them, much less tackle the lot of them. And so we stall; we doubt; we forget....but deep down we all know that things are wrong, and most, if not all of us want to help in some way. But how?
Envirolution was created for this reason: to bridge the gap between desire to act and opportunities for action.
What we propose is the following: As the residents and inheritors of this troubled world, let’s step up to the challenge. Let’s convene, discuss, debate, share, compare, plan and execute, essentially let’s Educate, Unite and Take Action!
We must first educate ourselves because knowledge truly is power. And we must empower ourselves because ultimately we are the only ones who can. In order to tackle the problems, we must identify them and understand them.
Big time change--like the type that we need to make--isn't easy to accomplish, and no one individual, group, business or country can do it alone. We have to unite and work together. The great news is that there are a ton of individuals, groups, businesses and governments that are already on board and want to help make positive change happen. We just all have to find a way to get on the same page to work together, share resources and leverage our respective positions, perspectives and skills.
With this in mind, Envirolution has developed a new model for social mobilization and collaboration. Rooted by the stakeholder engagement and organic growth processes, we have developed both online and off-line "collaborative platforms" that facilitate involvement from all interests in working together to expedite the realization of the changes that we wish to see.
It’s the future of our world that is at stake, so let’s not be afraid. Let's get creative and excited. There’s a million ways to get involved and there are limitless opportunities. None of us can do this alone, but together we can accomplish great things.
