About Enviroloution - Staff/Team

Hector Tinajero was born in King City, CA, moved to Las Vegas and has now been living in Reno since 2001. He went to four different schools in the area. Hector had a hard time learning and focusing in schools. Something changed when he got to high school; He realized the way to break to the cycle of poverty was education.

“I woke up every morning with a smile- ready for the day. I loved my experience in high school. I had a lot of good times with my friends, and have much love and respect for all my teachers who went beyond, to help me understand.

My senior year of high school was the most memorable. I won senior favorite and was the Homecoming King of Reed High School. I was also involved in a green action club called the ECO WARRIORS! We proposed a green makeover of our school’s old fashioned restrooms.  It is saving the school a million gallons of water and thousands of dollars in utility bills per year. Our Eco Warriors won 1^st place in the GREENevada Sustainability Plan Competition and walked away with 12,000 dollars to fund our project.

I enjoy playing the violin, hip hop, reggae, all kinds of music, dancing, laughing living life!”
