Announcing Program EDGE2

Program EDGE will be piloting its new E-Power Workshop April 3rd – 7th, 2023. The E-Power Workshop Pilot is a five-day Carson City School District Spring Break workshop in which two E-Power Teams comprised of girls, genderqueer, and non-binary students become Energy Bike Experts by building an

Energy Bike from scratch. Participants will work alongside staff and

local career professionals while they learn how to teach engaging energy lessons to bring back to their school and community. All students will receive hands-on STEM Experience in the areas of circuitry, electronics, teamwork, confidence, problem-solving, and the engineering design process. Upon completion of the E-Power workshop, students will be awarded an E-Power Certificate as well as lead an energy bike presentation for family, community partners, and sponsors. The E-Bike then becomes the property of the schools to utilize for lessons and activities throughout the school year. This free workshop is made possible with the partnership of Enel, Tesla, AAUW, and My Ride to Work. More information on the E-Power Workshop can be found here.
