THANK YOU to all the teachers, master teachers, and staff that participated in our first ever virtual professional development! During July, we hosted multiple material preparation days at our office to help get our materials ready for the 2020/2021 Project ReCharge school year. With volunteers from AAUW and AmeriCorps from DRI, KTMB & Greenhouse Project, we were able to complete multiple tasks including water pump assembly / testing, material consolidation, wire stripping, velcro application on our solar panels / bins, & cutting of denim insulation, reflective insulation, & sand paper. Volunteers are essential in order for us to continue inspiring students with our hands-on Project ReCharge STEAM lessons. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our volunteers for all of yourRead More →

We partnered with Truckee Meadow’s Parks Foundation (TMPF) for their Sustainability Week of their Student Stewards Summer Camp. This STEM based camp was a nine week outdoor camp, where we turned the local parks into learning laboratories. During the week of July 6th-10th our AmeriCorps, Delanie, and Programs Coordinator, Aimee, joined them in the discussion of STEM and sustainability. Aimee and Delanie ran many of Envirolution’s engaging, hands-on activities, including a waste audit, circuit activity & energy bike demo. We were thrilled to work with our friends and partners at TMPF and loved being able to work with the student campers, all while practicing social distancing.Read More →
