Dr. Eric Heiselt is a passionate science teacher at Silverland Middle School in Lyon County School District who first joined Project ReCharge in 2015. Envirolution staff recently went to his classroom to learn about how he integrated Project ReCharge into his curriculum to create a brand new elective class. It was incredible to see a classroom of middle school students excited to learn about circuits and STEAM. On October 17th, Envirolution hosted its first Staff and Board Retreat to foster collaboration between the staff and Board of Directors and focus our organization toward achieving its strategic plan goals. The day included a discussion of our strengths using the Clifton Strengths model, roundtable discussions about our strategic plan tactics, and lots of fun activities to get to know each other better. Envirolution received some great media attention and participated in Wood Rodgers Charity spin event.  Our $96k CLEAN Grant from the NV Energy Foundation was highlighted on KTVN and KOLO8 for its impact Project ReCharge will have in Rural Nevada schools. We also had the tremendous pleasure to participate in Wood Rodgers‘ Charity spin event where Envirolution was honored to receive almost $3,000. Envirolution is very excited to welcome the newest member of our team: Carissa Bradley! Carissa is a native to the Reno area and enjoys exploring new Reno-Tahoe hikes and businesses, spending time with friends, and raising her dog, Finn. Carissa graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2019 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. Since graduating, Carissa has participated in two incredible fellowships centered around local and state government.
