Community Outreach

Envirolution has been busy engaging with many different community partners and we wanted to share a little of what we’ve been up to.

Girl Scouts

Envirolution is honored to form a partnership with the Girl Scouts of Sierra Nevada for a new educational, engaging STEAM Exploration Program. We held our first event and the cadettes had the opportunity to explore Tesla’s history, mission, vision, and careers as well as engage in a hands-on STEAM activity. We have more summer sessions for this program available, so if you are interested in registering your cadette or cadettes troop for one of our sessions, please fill out this Registration form

Truckee Meadows Park Foundation Summer Science Camp

Envirolution ventured over to Idlewild Park to present during Truckee Meadows Park Foundation’s summer camp Energy Day. Campers had the opportunity to explore energy, circuits and sustainability through educational hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations. Thank you Truckee Meadows Park Foundation and all the campers for learning with us on this fun day! We look forward to more opportunities to present to summer camp groups!

Great Basin Outdoor School

In March, Envirolution presented during the Great Basin Outdoor School’s Spring Break Program, and we were so excited to be invited back to present during their Summer Camp Program.  Envirolution staff presented during the camps’ ‘Energy Rocks’ week, where campers explored different forms of energy through an interactive energy bike demonstration and fun games.  We will be back for their summer camp Week 5, Sustainability week, and we can’t wait.

Farmers Market

GoGreenLocally has invited Envirolution and other local, environmental non-profits to take turns hosting their booth at the Riverside Farmers Market. Envirolution had the opportunity to table at this booth on Thursday June 3rd.  Attendees were able to engage in some of our hands-on STEAM activities and learn more about our non-profit and the work that we do.

Come find us at the Farmers Market again on Thursday August 5th at the GoGreenLocally booth to learn more about Envirolution!
