Community Outreach

Envirolution has been busy engaging with many different community partners and we wanted to share a little of what we’ve been up to.

Girls in STEM Camp

In April, along with Tesla, we partnered with Sierra Nevada Journeys for their Girls in STEM Camp at Grizzly Ranch.  Over two days, we got to engage with 39 girls and their families teaching them about the engineering design process with hands-on activities.

KTMB Great Community Cleanup

On Saturday, May 1st, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful hosted their annual Great Community Cleanup, and Envirolution was very happy to participate in this year’s event. Envirolution staff volunteered at Idlewild Park where we helped with picking up trash, invasive species removal, and tree mulching. We always love opportunities where we can give back to the community and help clean the environment.

Fernley STEM Festival

Later this month, Envirolution will be participating in the 2021 Virtual Fernley STEM Festival. The festival will take place on Thursday, May 27th from 5-8pm. Envirolution is looking forward to showing how we use STEM in our everyday lives through our engaging activities.

Great Basin Outdoor School
Over spring break we had the opportunity to partner with Great Basin Outdoor School and will be back for their summer camp. During the camps, we present on energy and sustainability with fun hands-on activities. We had a fantastic time presenting during the Spring Break Program, and we are so excited to be there for their summer camp.
