Courtney is thrilled to join Envirolution as the AmeriCorps VISTA Research and Evaluation Coordinator. As a first-generation college graduate who earned her degrees in Biology and Chemistry, she is passionate about improving access to education for all — because it’s never too late to earn a degree or serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA! Her own career path comprises many interesting stops along the way. Courtney most recently worked in tech as a research analyst and prior to that she worked as a chef, and then as a farmhand and volunteer staff coordinator for a small-scale, sustainable farm.
Courtney has lived most of her life in and around Chicago but was fortunate to spend her teenage years in Arizona. She developed a deep appreciation of the mountains, deserts, and rivers that run through them and is excited to explore Reno and the surrounding terrain. When not following her career-bliss, you can find Courtney joining a guided hike with Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation, bicycling about town, or volunteering with a local farm.
