In celebration of the national event “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day,” Envirolution & Tesla welcomed over 400 girls at 11 sites in 5 states for a day filled with hands-on activities, inspiring presentations from female leaders and behind the scenes tours. The students at Gigafactory NV also received a special presentation by Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Assemblywoman Sarah Peters. With the help of over 180 Tesla volunteers, Envirolution was able to make this event a huge success. “Only 14 percent of engineers are women, and events like this expose these young female future leaders to the variety of engineering careers available,” said Envirolution Co-Executive Director Vanessa Robertson. “Envirolution and Tesla are proud to partner with Carson City School District in these initiatives.
