
Megan Weinhold was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She loves to spend time with her family, traveling the world, and teaching. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a dual degree in Biology and Secondary Education. After graduation, she taught English in South Korea before returning home and started teaching science and leadership at the same middle school she attended. She recently finished her masters in Curriculum and Instruction and is very excited to apply her new knowledge to her role as Curriculum Coordinator at Envirolution. Megan believes that our world is quickly evolving, and it is vital to both educate and prepare our youth to create a more sustainable environment. She feels that the Envirolution program provides students with up-to-date and relevant curriculum that not only educates our students, but gives them the means to create change in their homes, schools, and community.

In teaching, not only do you have to be able to “do’, teachers are responsible for mentoring students into developing lifelong social skills to become active and productive members of society. The quote should say, “those that can do; those that teach inspire others to do more.” I firmly believe through Envirolution, I will be able to inspire students and adults alike to do more. “
