Steffany Yang is a sophomore Honors Student at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Renewable Energy. She recently studied abroad in Bilbao, Spain during the summer where she conducted research revolving around methanation process optimization with water sorption in carbon-based materials. She is also Senator for the College of Engineering in which she serves to represent her fellow engineering students. Additionally, she is one of nine members within her graduating class, in the Honors Bonner Leaders Program in which she has committed to serve 280+ hours of community service annually for the entirety of her undergraduate years. Steffany spends her time giving back to the community as an academic mentor for Dorothy Lemelson STEM Academy and as an intern for Envirolution. 

Steffany joined the Envirolution team during her freshman year and assists with events, research, and coordinating social media posts. She hopes to remain a part of the Envirolution team for the remainder of her undergraduate career. 

Steffany’s hobbies include traveling, photography, cooking, and making the world a better place!
