Steffany Yang is a sophomore Honors Student at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Renewable Energy. At the time of this writing, she is studying abroad in Bilbao, Spain for the Summer where she is conducting research revolving around methanation process optimization with water sorption carbon-based materials. She is a Senator for the College of Engineering in which she serves to represent the students of this college. Additionally, she is one of nine members, of her graduating class, of the Honors Bonner Leaders Program in which she has committed to serve 280+ hours of community service annually for the entirety of her undergraduate years. Steffany spends her time giving back to the community as an academic mentor for Dorothy Lemelson STEM Academy, and as an intern for Envirolution. 

Steffany joined the Envirolution team during her freshman year and she assists with events, research, and coordinating social media posts. She hopes to remain a part of the Envirolution team for the remainder of her undergraduate years. 

Steffany’s hobbies include traveling, photography, cooking, and making the world a better place!
