Vanessa Robertson

Envirolution Co-Executive Director

Programs and Partnerships

Vanessa is a Reno native whose passion for the outdoors, sustainability and education has to lead her to her dream job at Envirolution. While in graduate school in Monterey, Vanessa worked for two amazing non-profits; Surfrider Foundation as the Volunteer and Events Coordinator and for the Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association as the Program Development and Evaluation Assistant. She also started a student-run community garden on an abandoned lot on the Monterey Institute of International Studies campus and was instrumental in helping ban the use of styrofoam to-go containers in the City of Monterey. Her love for the Sierras and desire to be close to family brought Vanessa back to Reno, where she started her own consulting business working with Green Businesses. Vanessa’s experience with starting brand new programs and strengthening existing ones through project management and program evaluation will be a key asset for Envirolution as they continue forward helping empower and inspire the next generation of leaders who will drive the growth of a sustainable economy.

“I’m so proud to be a part of Envirolution and all that we are doing for our community. Both my parents worked for Washoe County School District, so although I’m not a formal teacher, I get the honor of working with some amazing educators and administrators as we help provide them with the necessary training and resources to continue educating and engaging our youth on sustainability and STEM topics. “
