From her beginnings as a dedicated team member to her role as Executive Director in 2017, Vanessa’s impact has been profound. Her innovative spirit ensured the continuity of our UNR partnership and ignited collaborations with Tesla and the K-12 Education Gift Fund. Under her guidance, our staff grew from 3 to 10, while new programs like Career Quest and partnerships with Apple Inc. took flight.
When challenges arose, Vanessa’s resilience shone through. Despite the pandemic, she seamlessly transitioned our programs to virtual platforms, expanding their reach. Her leadership led to the national expansion of Project ReCharge to Phoenix and Denver, thanks to partnerships with industry giants like Apple and McKinstry.
Vanessa’s legacy encompasses empowering initiatives, including the groundbreaking EDGE2 program, championing diversity in energy and engineering. Her journey inspires us to forge ahead, fostering innovation and sustainability. We wish we could list every single accomplishment that Vanessa has contributed in her partnerships, programs, and innovative ideas, but her contributions have been so extensive and diverse that attempting to name each and every one of them would be an insurmountable task.
