Envirolution is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders and workers who will drive the growth of a sustainable economy.

Envirolution is excited to host our annual virtual

Envirolution is excited to host our annual virtual Year End Event on May 18. This event is to recognize and celebrate the amazing teachers, students, and community members that made this year a huge success.

You can tune in on Facebook Live at 4pm on the 18th to watch the event and hear students from across 16 schools throughout Nevada present their energy efficiency and sustainability proposals focused on reducing energy use and cost in their home, school, and community!
We hope you'll join us in celebrating all the hard work that was put into these projects and don't miss when we announce the projects that will be implemented!

On Earth Day weekend, Envirolution AmeriCorps memb

On Earth Day weekend, Envirolution AmeriCorps members Nick and Katie participated in the AmeriCorps Earth Day of Service.
Katie planted native plants at Rosewood Lake Study Area for the Spring Plantapalooza hosted by Truckee Meadows Park Foundation, and Nick drove to Yerrington for a day of planting at the Walker River State Recreation Area hosted by the Walker Basin Conservancy.
These plant day activities will help to restore these areas to their natural state.

Huge shout out and thank you to the Boys Team Charity for coming out for a fun volunteer evening. These volunteers helped prep kits for our Career Quest program and helped kick off our material preparation for next year's Project ReCharge teachers!

✨Teacher Spotlight Series✨

For our Teacher Spotlight Series we are highlighting Dan Scurlock, a first year Project ReCharge teacher. Dan teaches 4th grade at Florence Drake Elementary school and has been teaching for sixteen years. His students have been enjoying the hands-on engaging STEAM lessons from Project ReCharge and have been learning about electrical generation, solar energy, and wind energy. Dan’s favorite part of teaching is his students’ passion for life, capacity for joy and the look on their faces when they learn something new that is challenging.

Dan lives life passionately! Every summer he guides a river rafting trip on the Snake River. He is also a master crafter who builds go-carts with his two kids. Thank you Dan for being an awesome teacher who inspires students to become future STEAM leaders!

We loved seeing these thank you cards from the students of Flagview Intermediate School in Elko, NV to our amazing STEAM guest speaker Sea Gill. Sea works as a Zero Waste Program Manager at Apple and has already presented to 4 classrooms this year! Where she teaches students about how Apple is making major changes to help reduce waste and improve their recycling. All of their final assembly sites are now certified Zero Waste to landfill, which is conserving billions of gallons of water and reducing greenhouse gas emissions!

Sea is part of our STEAM guest speaker series through Project ReCharge to provide students the opportunity to meet and hear from professionals who work in STEAM fields, offering an inside look at future careers and applies classroom concepts to the real world.

Sea, thank you so much for interacting and educating students and thank you Flagview Intermediate school students for writing such thoughtful cards!

Full Circle Compost is located in Carson City, NV, and has been creating its recipe for Envio-friendly, all-natural Nevada compost for 20+ years! Check out the pictures to see what he said.
