As a continuation of our Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day in partnership with Tesla, we were thrilled to offer the simple motor activity to girls that weren’t able to participate with us in February. Over two weekends in May, volunteer Tesla employees were able to connect and inspire 26 middle school girls from across the country to learn about the engineering design process. Envirolution is thrilled to be highlighted as one of the organizations they collaborate with. We are incredibly proud of the work and partnership we have with Tesla and the impact this has had on the students and teachers across Nevada. With this partnership, we have reached over 170 teachers from 75 schools and implemented student-driven projects that have saved over 8,600 MWh in energy savings. Since 2019 we have also worked with Tesla to bring over 1,500 students to Gigafactory NV to engage and explore workplace STEAM and sustainability.We can’t wait to see what our partnership can do next!You may find us on page 68 of the 2020Read More →

This semester, Washoe County Students participating in the STEM internship and service-learning class will be working with a group of Tesla Engineers to help develop hands-on activities exploring solar battery storage.  Students will utilize the Powerwall Educational carts, products of a 2017 and 2019 Project ReCharge student proposal.  Tesla volunteers took their ideas and made them into a reality by designing and building these custom units to help students learn about battery storage technology. Students will present their final project on May 25th to Tesla and Envirolution.Read More →
