Envirolution would like to recognize the dedication and commitment of our Project ReCharge teachers this year. Our 2020/2021 session is coming to an end and it has been an honor to work with these teachers by providing them collectively with 874 hours of virtual professional learning. Despite the challenges,our teachers have shown an amazing amount of ingenuity and creativity to continue offering at least 160 hours of engaging, hands-on Project ReCharge lessons to over 2,600 students in their classrooms. We are truly looking forward to working with and supporting these incredible educators in the years to come.  We hope that all of our teachers enjoy a well-earned summer break!Read More →

Girls in STEM Camp In April, along with Tesla, we partnered with Sierra Nevada Journeys for their Girls in STEM Camp at Grizzly Ranch.  Over two days, we got to engage with 39 girls and their families teaching them about the engineering design process with hands-on activities. Our first ever Sneak Peek Professional Learning sessions were a hit!  We had 30 teachers from different grade levels, communities, and subject matters join us for 7 sessions and over 14 hours of training to learn about Project ReCharge and complete some of our favorite hands-on lessons.  “It gave me a perfect look at the instruction that I can do with my students and reviewed great teaching practices too! Envirolution is excited to announce our partnership with EcoRise (EcoRise.org) to collaborate in the development of a Transportation Unit with an emphasis on Electric Vehicles. In these lessons, students will investigate different types of transportation by conducting a cost analysis of a gas, hybrid, and fully electric cars.  Then, they will develop a recommendation for a new household car and plan a vacation using an electric car through hands-on science and cross-curricular activities. Stay tuned for more information!Read More →
