Happy New Year! Since Envirolution runs in conjunction with the school year, we released our annual report from 2022 months ago. We’re ahead of the curve!  So far this year, we’ve already done exciting things and made a lot of progress. This fall, we’ve reached 418 students in CQ, and 87% of them said they loved the experience!  Plus, in our Title 1 schools, 93% of students said they loved the experience! We have 27 Career Quests planned for this spring and will be visiting seven businesses. Recycling your Christmas tree is a great way to celebrate a sustainable holiday! In northern NV, KTMB collects trees and turns them into mulch which can be used for weed abatement and park beautification throughout the Truckee Meadows. Each year they recycle more than 10,000 trees!  KTMB is collecting trees at sites throughout Northern Nevada between Dec 26th and January 10th. Envirolution was selected by Pratt & Whitney and the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) as a winner of the first-ever Pratt & Whitney Global E-STEM Awards. Envirolution was the only organization in the United States selected for the E-STEM excellence prize! Each group demonstrated a remarkable commitment to advancing environmental, science, technology, engineering, and math (E-STEM) education programs for underrepresented students ages 11–18.
