Co-Executive Director Mike has been in Operations, Sales & Marketing for over 15 years.  His passion for the environment and sustainability along with his expansive skill set has made him an integral part of the leadership for envirolution. Mike is from Las Vegas but fell in love with Reno during college at the University of Nevada, Reno where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media with a minor in Spanish.  He then moved to Monterrey with his Wife, Vanessa and worked with The Surfrider Foundation, Monterrey as Webmaster / Graphic designer. February 21 is Introduce A Girl To Engineering Day. It is all about encouraging girls to consider a route into engineering, and inspiring a generation who might grow up to be the great innovators and problem solvers of the next generation!Tesla has teamed up with Envirolution to celebrate this day and motivate girls to choose a career in sustainable engineering. 6th and 7th-grade Girls will go to Tesla factories, dealerships, and warehouses all over California and Nevada to tour the facilities, learn about Tesla and follow Envirolutions STEM education lessons.Read More →

Envirolution has quarterly cleanups at the park they adopted through Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Spot program to encourage pride in our community. A cleanup of Pickett Park will be one of the activities during our upcoming Sustainability Tour, held during the Washoe County and Carson City School District Spring Breaks between March 26th and 30th for students aged 12 to 18. Check out the media coverage from MyNews4 after the NV Energy check presentation at O’Brien STEM Academy on January 24. The NV Energy Foundation gave Envirolution $7,000 to support Project ReCharge. Envirolution shared the news with Project ReCharge teachers and students at O’Brien STEM Academy during a special assembly. By Caitlin Lynch, UNR Student and Intern for Envirolution Envirolution recently had the opportunity to sit down with Steven McNeece, the Director of Sustainability for the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN). McNeece is an environmental science major in his senior year at the university. Last year, ASUN created the position that McNeece currently holds as Director of Sustainability on the Executive Board. His duties include overseeing the Sustainable Nevada Initiative Fund (SNIF), presiding on the ASUN Executive Board,and creating and improving sustainable activities on campus.
